Kitchen cabinets are one of the most expensive and utilized portions of your kitchen, and an element of design as well. If you are looking to make your kitchen cabinets look beautiful as well as serve a purpose, there are a few ways that you can add some visual interest to your kitchen cabinets. Here at Cornerstone Kitchen & Bath, we have a few ideas to help you add a little bit of designer flair to your kitchen.

Add Visual Interest to Kitchen Cabinets

1.  Consider the uppers. Your upper cabinets don’t need to all look the same. In fact, if you want to add some visual interest to your kitchen cabinets, you might want to forego them altogether for open shelving. If open shelving is too high maintenance for you (the dusting!), then there are other options as well. Consider a built-in nook for cookbooks, an area for spices, and areas for wine bottles.

2.  Break it up. A great way to add some visual interest to your kitchen cabinets is to consider breaking up the look of your cabinets. Rather than one long bank of the same door, consider adding in a few glass-paneled doors.

3.  Use different colors. Getting your island kitchen cabinets done in a different color is a great way to have it set apart from the rest of your kitchen while also making it look interesting. If an island isn’t in your plans, you could have your lower cabinets done in a different, usually darker, stain or color than your uppers.

These are just some of our favorite tips for adding in some visual interest to your cabinets. To learn more about kitchen cabinets from Cornerstone Kitchen & Bath, give us a call today.
